The Iceland Playlist

I'M GOING TO ICELAND! I'm so excited! To celebrate, I've made a special playlist full of Iceland-ready tunes for anyone else going on a Nordic adventure soon! Have a click through to see, yo

I can’t believe I’m off to Iceland tomorrow! When I booked in August (super organised, guys) I thought March would never roll around… and yet here we are. Although, I’m not sure the U.K got the memo about it being spring because it’s pretty horrendous weather here.

I kind of regretted booking Iceland in March because I knew that although at the time I was ready for winter, when it gets to this time of year I usually have a penchant for Malta, Greece or anywhere WARM. Sun? What’s that? I haven’t seen the sun in what feels like years!

But I’m so ready to embrace winter one last time for a while (I’m set on visiting the southern hemisphere next year for it) and see some big mountains/lakes/waterfalls. (As well as inevitably sit in a lot of coffee shops)

So in preparation for my goodbye winter adventure, here’s another one of my playlists, complete with moody electronic songs, Iceland’s very own artists (Of Monsters and Men were the best gig I’ve ever been to real talk), and some lovely deep dark folk.

(Wow I think my degree is making me fluent in pretentious)

P.S “BUT WHERE IS SIGUR ROS?” I hear you cry. Well, young one, I’ve not actually listened to much Sigur Ros yet because I’m saving it for Iceland, so please may you be directed to their entire discography.

P.P.S I didn’t realise I pretty much included all of Of Monsters and Men, Florence + The Machine, and Rhodes’ back catalogues until I typed this up but deal with it I couldn’t sacrifice any of their songs oops
