Travel Scrapbook: Barcelona
Oooooh so I’m back with another instalment of my travel scrapbook. I feel like I’ve improved a lot this time and it’s actually starting to look like how I want it to! Although one of the challenges is finding actual words and remembering what happened on said trip weeks after it happened, so next time I’m gonna keep a diary ON THE GO. (How exciting)
Speaking of next time, as I unfortunately had to cancel Australia (brb whilst I sob into my pillow), I spontaneously booked 3 trips before October is finished, so expect a lot of goodness before 2017 rolls around. YAY!
So here it is… my scrapbook journey through Barcelona!
We flew Norwegian on the 19th of June 2016 from London Gatwick to Barcelona. I was the first at the airport (because I lived the closest) and eagerly ran around duty free/drank coffee until everyone else arrived and we decided to visit spoons because you know, airport tradition.
After getting mildly lost, we found our lovely little flat, complete with free beer. Then we wandered around trying to find somewhere to eat, unaware that most of the restaurants are in the old city, not really in the area we were staying. However, sangria was had, and we were okay with that.
The next day we did a walking tour with Sandeman, and I booked in some solo time.
A cheeky trip to the sea life centre happened this, where we saw a cuttlefish get copulated till death right before our eyes.
Our last day involved a whirlwind trip to Park Guell and a tapas tour.
I didn’t want to leave (but you never do). When we landed in the UK it was pouring with rain and i was NOT dressed appropriately, so when the taxi driver asked me why I was so cold and grumpy I was literally like “I’M DRESSED FOR SPAIN!!!!” Note to self: think of getting home from the airport as well as the actual holiday wardrobe.
