Ultimate Travel Bucketlist: Africa

Wow, Africa’s big isn’t it. Well, thanks to Paul visiting Kenya for S Club 7 Go Wild! back in 2000, I’ve had an undying lust for all things safari/wildlife. Then I studied Egyptology at school and got obsessed with that too (I still remember how artists painted the walls hollaaa), and more recently Brian Cox showed me the wonders of Namibia, and I also got obsessed with stargazing in the Sahara. Oh, and I’ve literally fallen in love with Algeria just from researching it right this second.

Africa is such a huge and diverse content, it has so many different cultures and ways of life, so many different religions and terrains and a whole host of different wildlife. Can I see it all like, now? Good, thanks.

One thing I’d really like to mention (I’m not sure if I have before and I CBA to check) is how important it is to be culturally and environmentally aware of your presence and impact. Basically, don’t be a dick. Don’t get all white saviour, don’t shoot any animals (seriously, what’s wrong with these people), try and support the local economy, and if you’re volunteering, make sure it’s with a reputable company who strives to make a lasting, sustainable and effective impact. (rant over let’s get down to bizniz)
